Baroness Moyo is an internationally acclaimed economist whose work centers on the macroeconomy, global affairs, and the forces driving growth and instability across the world. Born in Zambia, she is the author of five books — four of them New York Times bestsellers — including Edge of Chaos, Winner Take All, and How Boards Work, and her writing appears regularly in the Financial Times, The Economist, and The Wall Street Journal. Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world, and she was awarded the Hayek Lifetime Achievement Award.

Moyo earned a doctorate in economics from Oxford and a master's from Harvard, and spent nearly a decade at Goldman Sachs working in debt capital markets and global macroeconomics, advising developing countries on international bond issuance.
