WHY ERIN

What Erin brings to the room.

Erin Meyer helps global leaders turn cultural difference into better communication, trust and decision-making — without confusing alignment with uniformity.

KEYNOTE TOPICS

Ideas built for the stage.

01

The Culture Map

How communication, feedback, hierarchy, trust and decision-making differ across cultures — and what global teams can do with that knowledge.

02

Context, Not Control

How leaders create enough clarity for distributed decisions without writing a rule for every situation.

03

Leading Global Teams

How international organisations build alignment while allowing behaviour to adapt to local expectations.

04

Culture of Reinvention

Lessons on talent density, candour and organisational freedom from high-autonomy cultures.

Erin Meyer is a leading authority on how cultural differences shape the way people communicate, build trust, disagree, lead and make decisions across borders. Her work gives international organisations a vocabulary for patterns that otherwise remain invisible until they create friction.

In The Culture Map, Meyer translates cross-cultural research into eight practical dimensions of global collaboration. The framework helps leaders move beyond stereotypes and understand why behaviour that signals clarity, respect or decisiveness in one context may be interpreted very differently in another.

Meyer also co-authored No Rules Rules with Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, examining how context, talent density and distributed decision-making can reduce dependence on control. She is Professor of Management Practice at INSEAD. On stage, she combines research, vivid examples and a highly practical lens for audiences working across markets, functions and organisational cultures.
