WHY MARCO
Shows how AI changes the architecture of the firm — and what leaders must redesign in strategy, operating models and ecosystems to scale value rather than isolated pilots.
KEYNOTE TOPICS
How AI-native companies change the economics of scale, scope and learning — and what established organisations must redesign when algorithms and networks become central to value creation.
A practical executive lens on the architecture behind enterprise AI: data flows, workflows, governance, human–machine roles and the organisational choices required to move from isolated use cases to a scalable operating core.
Why competition increasingly takes place between ecosystems rather than individual firms, how network effects reshape market structure and where leaders need to make deliberate choices about control, complementors and participation.
Why promising demonstrations so often fail to change the wider organisation — and how leadership teams can connect AI investment with workflow redesign, accountability and measurable strategic outcomes.
Marco Iansiti is the David Sarnoff Professor of Business Administration and Co-Head of the Technology and Operations Management Unit at Harvard Business School. His research examines how AI, data, algorithms and digital networks are changing the operating architecture of firms — and why advantage increasingly depends on how an organisation learns and scales, not simply which technology it buys.
Iansiti is co-author, with Karim R. Lakhani, of Competing in the Age of AI, and the author or co-author of The Keystone Advantage, One Strategy and Technology Integration. He is also co-founder and chairman of Keystone.ai, where his academic work meets the practical realities of enterprise transformation. His keynotes give senior audiences a rigorous way to understand AI-centric operating models, platform ecosystems, network effects and the organisational redesign required to turn digital capability into enterprise value.
