Rather than treating flexibility as a universal policy, Gratton asks leaders to design work around the activities people perform: where focus is needed, when collaboration creates value, how energy is sustained and which interactions benefit from physical presence.
She is the author of Redesigning Work and co-author of The 100-Year Life and The New Long Life. Her perspective is particularly useful for leadership audiences moving beyond return-to-office debates towards a more intentional architecture of work.
